Beginner Dance 3.5-5 year old – Beginner dance and creative movement concepts are taught with age appropriate expectations. Running, jumping, leaping, turning, spinning and most fun of all… pretending! This will quickly become the highlight of your dancers week! Level I 4.5-6 year old Combo Class – Combination Ballet/Jazz dance class for children ages 4-6 years old. All curriculum is developmentally appropriate and is suited well for beginner dancers. Level III 10 & Up Combo Class – Combination Ballet/Jazz dance class for dancers age 10 and up. All curriculum is developmentally appropriate and is suited just for beginning to intermediate dancers. Level IV Combo Class – This Ballet/Jazz combo class is by teacher placement. All curriculum is developmentally appropriate and is suited for intermediate and advanced dancers. Contemporary – For dancers aged 13 and up. Contemporary dance encourages dancers to be versatile in their expressions and to be able to portray a wide array of movement styles and emotions. It focuses on spatial and body awareness, use of body weight, floor work, technique, efficiency of muscle usage, musicality and safe body alignment. Required shoes are nude half soles. Musical Theater  – We currently offer three levels of Musical Theater. Musical Theater I is a beginner level class, Musical Theater II is beginner-intermediate, and Musical Theater III is an intermediate-advanced level class. These classes teach Broadway or musical-style dancing for ages 4.5 years and up. Focus will be placed on developing a character and discovering the inner actor of each dancer. Dancers will learn musical theater style choreography, lip syncing, partner and solo work. Required class attire is a leotard or tank top and dance shorts with tights or leggings/jazz pants and tan jazz shoes. Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail.

Hip Hop –  Hip Hop with and emphases on FUN! Our Hip Hop class is for ages 7-10. This class incorporates street style dance with choreographed expression. Dancers will learn various elements of hip-hop dances and jazz style dancing. Required class attire is sweat pants, leggings, or dance shorts and tank top or t-shirt. Shoes will be decided on soon and we will begin placing an order during open house.

Pom – We currently offer three levels of Pom. This is our first year offering Pom so all classes will be beginner level. Our Pom III class will offer prep work for those that will be trying out for the VHS Pom Team. Pom is for dancers age 8 and up with possible performances at Oktoberfest Vinita, Vinita Christmas Parade, Christmas in Vinita, and Recital. Class tuition includes rental fee of poms. Class attire is dance shorts or leggings with fitted top and tan jazz shoes.

Company Rehearsals – Rehearsal time for competition company members to practice and perfect their competition dances. Instructor Approval required. We currently offer a Mini Team (ages 4.5-7), Jr. Prep (ages 8-11), Junior (ages 12+) and Teen/Senior (ages 13+). Pre-Pointe  – Pre-requisite for pointe work. Instructor approval required. Non-recital class.

Lyrical – This year we will be offering a 10 week Lyrical class in the Spring of 2025 for ages 7-10. Lyrical is a combination of ballet and jazz techniques that challenges the dancer to use connecting and flowing movements to interpret music and express inner emotions. Required class attire is a leotard or tank top and dance shorts with tights or leggings/jazz pants and tan jazz shoes. Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail.
